Betty Roccograndi of Pure Bunkum beat me to a subject that has been bothering me.
I always thought that News services were supposed to report the news, Not try to influence it. And if the paper thought strongly about a candidate, they would publish the article as an editorial (So people would know it is the papers OPINION) Obviously this is another thing I have been wrong about.
The Times Leader has become Leightons propaganda machine, even going as far as publishing the 'Leighton ledger' with a little tiny note saying, "Oppses we meant to mention that was a paid advertisement." Somehow, even with multiple shady deals, Constitutional Rights violations, Threats (that their reporters have witnessed), lies (That one of their own reporters caught him in) and financial boondoggles they still endorsed Leighton. Publicly. In print. And lets not forget that the FBI is still hovering around the county government. It will only be a matter of time (The FBI moves VERY slowly to make sure the cases stand up in court) before they take a close look at the city... If they aren't already.
Will the Leighton Regime escape unscathed when the Feds look at it?
