Bin Laden is DEAD.

By now everyone knows that Osama bin Laden, the face of global terrorism and architect of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks is 'feeding the fish'. So I'll just put a bit of what I can decipher out here.

US Navy SEAL DEVGRU unit (SEAL team 6) under the command of the Joint Special Operations Command forces, working with the CIA got a tip that a courier was headed to a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan (which was only a few hundred yards from the Pakistan Military Academy) and it held a 'person of interest'. After a week of observation, it was discovered that Bin Laden was staying there with his youngest wife and one of his adult sons.

The team practiced the mission multiple times at a secret base in the U.S. before the actual raid took place.

At approximately 1 AM local time the SEALs stormed the compound and engaged the enemy in a firefight. The raid lasted about 40 minutes and about 22 targets (excuse me, people) were killed or captured, including the son of bin Laden, the courier and his brother, as well as one woman (the wife?) who was said was used as human shield. Two other women were injured.

According to reports on May 2, bin Laden's body was handled in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition and was buried at sea less than a day after his death. The burial at sea took place aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Carl Vinson, the flagship of the Carrier Strike Group.

Now everything the US military did was PERFECT. The only thing I have a problem with is the burial at sea. That bastard should have been put in a huge jar, pickled in pig urine and had a 24 hour a day web camera pointed at it. Oh and put up a sign over it saying "This is what the U.S. does to cowards".

And just to 'put the tin foil hat' on, What if he was pronounced dead, but is in our custody instead? I'm thinking of a prison jumpsuit made of bacon. SO COOL.
