Denise Carey

I've written about Denise before Here and she has written me as well.
But a few people will not pay attention to facts. They wish she had curled up and gone away after the first lawsuit. (You remember, the one that then judge Conahan decided against her. Why did he decide that way? I do not know. It has been suggested that the No-Bid contract that his ambulance service got shortly afterwards may have something to do with it. BTW any contract worth over $10,000 a year is supposed to be put out for bid. That is the law. The back up ambulance contract is worth at least 20 times that.)
But back on target. Denise didn't 'curl up and go away'. She stood tall and fought for her Constitutional Rights. AND WON. Court after court has decided in her favor. I've always heard that courts don't like to reverse decisions. (Makes you wonder why then Judge Conahan decided against her).

"He bullied me, he bullied my family. He put us through a lot of sorrow and heartache for a lot of years," Carey said. "It's still not over yet, and he still has not yet taken responsibility for it yet. I can't respect someone like that. I just can't."
Personal vendettas are not the mark of true Leadership.
I've mentioned Dictator Leighton has a problem with taking responsibility for his actions.

We need a mayor who doesn't look at the First Amendment (The right to free speech) as something to wipe his feet on. We need a Mayor who doesn't try to bully anyone who thinks differently than he does. We need a Mayor who doesn't get involved with questionable deals. We need a Leader.
And we need a city council that will oppose the Mayor when he is wrong. Not a bunch of mutes that WILL NOT oppose someone who treats our Constitution like a baby treats a diaper.
